Friday 24th July | Windows 7 available to IT professionals on 6th August
Windows 7, which is next version of Windows from Microsoft will be available to IT professionals on the 6th August 2009. This basically means the Operating System is complete and it's ready to ship with new computers. Unlike the release of Windows Vista, Microsoft has met all of it's major milestones with the development of Windows 7.
Thursday 23rd July | The real cost of printer ownership
There are a number of cheap printers out there, which are more than adequate for use in a home office or small business. However before purchasing a new printer which is the cheapest around, it is always wise to check out the cost of ink, toner, drums and any other maintenance kits. These items can seriously damage your wallet! Just because the printer is £50, it doesn't mean the consumables it uses will be cheap. We recommend you seek professional advice, before making your purchase.
Wednesday 22nd July | Doubts over Windows 7 Family Pack
There are fresh doubts that the Windows 7 family pack might not make it to the UK. The Windows 7 family pack allows home versions of Windows 7 to be installed on up to three computers at a discounted rate. The reason it is in doubt, is because of an going dispute with the EU. Source - PC Pro.
Tuesday 21st July | iPhone Internet access
iPhone users currently have no Internet access due to a technical fault according to o2. They are working on fix for this problem and hope to have it resolved soon. Source - PC Pro.

Friday 17th July | Google Docs interface in development
Google has revealed it is working on a new interface for it's Google Docs product. Google Docs is an online office production suite, similar to Microsoft Office, but without the advanced features. The competition is heating up between Google Docs, Microsoft Office and Open Office. Source - PC Pro.
Thursday 16th July | Microsoft Windows 7 pricing
Windows 7, which is the upcoming release of Microsoft Windows, is available of pre-order for around £80. This is for the home premium version of the software, with home professional available at around £100. We recommend that you wait until the product is released as we expect the price to come down over the Christmas period. Source - PC Pro.
Wednesday 15th July | Virgin offers 50MB broadband for £28 per month
Virgin has announced that it will offer its 50MB broadband service for £28 per month. This offer is available to new and existing customers who take out a phone line with them after 1st September. Alternatively you can just have broadband for £38 per month. We advise that you check availability in your area first by contacting Virgin. Source - PC Pro.
Tuesday 14th July | Google Operating System targets netbook users
We have read through the official Google blog and we can confirm that the upcoming launch of the Google Operating System will be targeted at netbook users. This would indicate that you won't be able to join it to a Windows domain for full business networking. We wouldn't be surprised to find that if the Google Operating System is a success in the netbook market, they will then develop a business edition.

Friday 10th July | Hardware vendors support Google Chrome Operating System
A number of hardware suppliers have pledged their support to the upcoming Google Operating System. Manufacturers including Acer, Asus, Freescale, Hewlett-Packard, Lenovo, and Toshiba have all stated their hardware will support the Google Operating System. Source - PC Pro.
Thursday 9th July | Document backup solutions for single users
If you work for yourself or are a sole trader, the chances are that you have all of your documents on your computer or laptop. Having a backup in place is critical for single computers because if your computer or laptop is stolen or damaged, you could lose all of your data.
