Have you considered you could save yourself some money by using your mobile phone as a 3G Dongle instead. This of course depends on your mobile phone tariff, but if you have unlimited web use, you could cancel your 3G USB Dongle and make a saving!

We have a HP Compaq 6715b work horse laptop which has been running Windows XP Professional. With this Operating System, the battery would last around 1.5 hours. Having upgraded the laptop to Windows 7 Ultimate Edition, the battery life has doubled to around 3 hours! It was well worth the upgrade just for this benefit!!

Recently we have been working on some Dell PowerEdge r410 severs which had rather noisy fans. We found a cure to this Dell noisy fan problems by installing the latest BIOS and then flashing the management card. The fans are still heard, but much quieter as a result.
