Microsoft Office 201-3D
Rumours are going around at the moment about
Microsoft’s next edition of Office in 2013. It has been said that
the suite is going to be released with the 3D capability, so that if the
user has a 3D PC monitor, they can, for example, have the text in Word
jump out at them. Or, in PowerPoint and Excel, diagrams and pictures
would have an even greater effect. Here at Lucid Towers, we think that
this could either be a huge winner for Microsoft, however, it could just
as easily turn out incredibly bad. Unfortunately, we have yet to wait
for these to be confirmed, and if they are true. Even longer to wait for
the actual program to come out.
New Visa cards
A new type of Visa card is in development at the moment, only this one
is not just a bit of plastic with an electromagnetic strip down the
side. This one has an 8 digit digital display and a 12 digit keypad
built in, and it’s still only the width of a normal card! The idea is
that this new card will combine the standard card that most of us carry
around in our pockets with the small chip-and-pin like device some have
to use with online banking (known as the 'Verified by Visa' system).
This may sound like some form of gadget ready to break the moment you
look at it, but tests done across Europe have come back as a phenomenal
success and we may all own one in the near future.
