The monitoring service that we use is always checking for potential problems such as a hard drive reaching its capacity, memory and processor usage being excessively high and checking that your Internet connection is stable.

The advanced monitoring service allows us to be proactive, responding to potential problems and resolving issues before they cause any business downtime. The alerting system notifies us via email and through our monitoring console, even when your Internet connection has gone down.

As part of the remote monitoring, there is also the ability to track the hardware specification and the installed programs on your computers. This allows you to easily identify out-dated and under performing computers. From an insurance perspective it will ensure details of your computers are stored off site and can be called upon in the event of theft or damage to your systems. If any of your servers, laptops or computers are stolen, the first thing the police will ask for (no, not a cup of tea) is the serial numbers of the stolen equipment. Our remote monitoring tool logs your serials numbers and stores them off site.

How does it work?

Each server, computer or laptop that you want to monitor will have a piece of software installed by one of our support engineers. As soon as the software is installed, it will begin monitoring your systems based on our recommend thresholds.
